The Müttertreff Moosach e.V. …

… was founded on December 1st 1987 as a meeting place for mothers and fathers of all backgrounds,
sharing the common feature of being “people who live with children”.

… is a space for families with young children to get to know each other, independent of their nationality and social status.

… provides the opportunity to put one’s own ideas into practice: all women can take part in the decision-making process.

… is a space for forming new social networks and countering the effects of anonymity in the neighbourhood.

The aims of the Müttertreff Moosach e.V. are …

… to support women in their role as mothers and strengthen their self-image.

… to encourage understanding and tolerance in a group.

… to support and further the skills and talents of the individual, e. g. through courses, teamwork, childcare, training programmes.

… to collate and pass on information that is relevant for families in the neighbourhood.

… to make the broader public aware of the necessity of such centres for mothers through regional and national networking.

… to emphasize the importance of the centre for the neighbourhood through active participation on various committees.

… to put the concerns of women and families on the political agenda.
